Practical Information: Conference Venue, Directions & Accomodation

By public transport:

Please be aware that the conference fee does not cover public transportation in Bonn. Information on public transportation and tickets is available at the VRS website.

• In Bonn Central Train Station, follow the signs for the bus station ("Busbahnhof").
• From bus station platform A1:
  • Take a number 601, 602 or 603 bus bound for "Uniklinik Süd", "Waldau" or "Röttgen Schleife".
  • Alight at "Am Botanischen Garten".
  • Go back to the intersection and turn left into "Karlrobert-Kreiten-Straße".
  • Walk straight ahead for 400 meters; the Auditorium Center Poppelsdor will be right in front of you.
• From bus station platform E:
  • Take a number 604, 605, 606 or 607 bus bound for "Ückesdorf", "Duisdorf Bahnhof" or "Malteser-Krankenhaus".
  • Alight at "Kaufmannstraße".
  • Go back to the intersection and turn right into "Nußallee".
  • Follow it for ca. 150 m, then turn right into "Reinhard-Selten-Straße".
  • After another 150 m, the Auditorium Center Poppelsdorf is on your right.

By foot (ca. 15 minutes walk):

• In Bonn Central Train Station, follow the signs for the exit "Quantiusstraße".
• Turn right, cross the intersection and follow "Colmantstraße".
• After crossing the next intersection and "Beethovenplatz", follow "Endenicher Allee" for ca. 500 m.
• At the intersection, turn left into "Nußallee".
• Follow it for ca. 150 m, then turn right into "Reinhard-Selten-Straße".
• After another 150 m, the Auditorium Center Poppelsdorf is on your right.

From the airport, there is a bus connection to Bonn Central Train Station (bus number SB60, minimap, timetable).

From Bonn Central Train Station, follow the directions above.

Due to several construction sites in and around Bonn, individual pathways may be temporarily closed at short notice.

We kindly ask you to use public transportation whenever possible.

Directions via A 565:

• Exit "Poppelsdorf" from the A 565
• Follow "Reuterstraße" toward "B9/Bad Godesberg"
• At the first traffic light, turn right into "Jagdweg"
• Turn right into "Sternenburgstraße"
• Turn right into "Carl-Troll-Straße"
• Turn left into "Campusallee"

Directions via A 562:

• Exit "Bonn-Zentrum" from the A 562
• Take B9 in the direction of "Bonn-Zentrum"
• At "Bundeskanzlerplatz", keep left onto "Reuterstraße"
• After about 2 km, turn left into "Jagdweg"
  (Attention: If you miss the turn, take a right into "Am Botanischen Garten" — otherwise, you’ll end up back on the highway!)
• Turn right into "Sternenburgstraße"
• Turn right into "Carl-Troll-Straße"
• Turn left into "Campusallee"
